Icons
Why can't I upload icons to this thing?
ETA: Because, "The userpic factory is currently not working. This means that if you upload an icon that doesn't meet our technical guidelines (up to 100x100 pixels, 40kb or smaller) you will receive an error message, rather than being asked to resize your icon."
So how do I make an icon which meets their technical guidelines?

Dreamwidth purports to do the same thing, but it's not working right now.
I've got Vista and MS Office on my computer, but I refer you to my earlier answer.
BTW, I quite like the fact that I can reply to your comment right here in Gmail. I less like the fact that Dreamwidth insists on putting a copy in my Dreamwidth mail-box, so I have to read the comments twice.

I'm fairly certain you can turn that off? Also, you can reply to comments via email on LJ.

(I've disabled email notifications for people adding me on Dreamwidth, because they were cluttering up my inbox, but I still want to be notified, so it would be nice to use my Dreamwidth mail-box for such things without also having to reread comments I'd already seen. But this is getting boring, and I really should do some work.)
